Love Is In The Air!

I thought I would share the Valentine Card I made for lovely Hubby.  I was really pleased with this card and had been looking forward to using my Lost & Found Papers that I got as a total bargain £6 from QVC at Christmas.

I started off with an 8 x 8 Kraft card blank from Papermaina.  I layered the papers and also cut some fab label shapes from the papers with my Spellbinder dies on my Vagabond machine.  I also used the Tim Holtz rosette die to cut a lovely rosette for the front.

I was pleased with the result and Hubbs was delighted.

As I was in a loving mood I also made a little card for my friend Helen using my Forever Friends Black & Gold Card Kit.  I bought this in a spurr of the moment thing when it was on sale on Create & Craft.  I thought it would come in useful and it has!

I used a patterned card blank from the kit and die cut two label shapes from the co-ordinating papers.  The little bear and frame are decoupaged with the ever fab Pinflair.  I finished off with two co-ordinating bows that I had in my (ever growing) stash.

When I was writing the card I noticed that the white mat with the gold hearts is actually upside down! Ooops.

Helen was very happy especially as the card will match her interior decor!

Not to be out done Hubby has got in on the card making action and made this little beauty for me.
He does like to sneak into the craft room when I am out and make me a little something.  He also used the Forever Friends Black & Gold Kit.  Probably because it was still tipped out on my desk!

I love this sooooo much and of course love him too.

Thanks for having a little look!

I Have Been on The Telly!

Oh my goodness, what was I thinking ?  Yesterday afternoon I was having a lovely time cutting out the glorious pages from my new Jewel Britannia Kit from My Craft Studio and noticed on the planner that the kit was going to be on at 6PM.  I was so pleased with the quality of the paper stash books that I decided to leave a 5 star review and send an email at 6PM to let Nancy know how great I thought it was.

Anyway 6PM arrived and I was just preparing dinner (Turkey Thai Burgers) and had sent lovely Hubby to the local shop for some dip that we had forgotten, I then got an email back from Create and Craft!  What on Earth ????

The Gallery (get me) emailed me to ask if I wanted to be a live telephone caller.....and I said yes!  By the time Hubby got home I was on the telly chatting to Nancy and Nigel.  I really loved it but the only downside was how quite they were.  It was really hard to hear what they were saying and to form a relatively intelligent response.  Anyway apologies to anyone to thought I was a nutter - I am and I love it.

The lovely people at Create and Craft have promised to send me a DVD of the show and Nigel and Nancy are sending me a card - even Leonie came on to say Hello.  I haven't watched the show back yet....to embarrassed.

This is Nigel and Nancy talking to me!!!

Will post a picture of the card from Nancy when I received it.

Thanks for having a little look!

A Late Night Birthday Card!

Early this week my lovely friend Helen asked me for a card for her Dads birthday...on Friday.  Well I am not one for being rush and I do like to pootle in my craft room.

Anyway I had an idea to use my stash of Kanban McKenzie card and embellishments that I treated myself to just before Christmas.  I thought black and cream would be rather nice.  Anyway got a bit carried away.

I wanted to use a bit of acetate on the front to get some movement and thought it would look rather effective.

I used a black card blank that is actually a Kanban one from QVC that I bought ages ago. Everything else is from the Kanban McKenzie Kit from the fab Create & Craft.  Even the little black rose is made from a die cut in the kit and you also get the little qulling tool.

The sentiment is another QVC blast from the past is from a huge set of Kanban sentiments I bought a while ago.  I even added "65 Today" using Tim Holtz Random Letters.   Got to have a bit of Tim in everything!

Helen was delighted with the card and more importantly so was her Dad.

Thanks for having a little look!

Welcome Home!

I made this lovely little card this weekend for my Mum and Dad who are returning from Australia on Monday.  They have been there since December 8th visiting my sister Becky and the boys.  We are going later this year - I am dreading the flight but just keep thinking about the Kaisercraft papers that are there waiting for me.....

Anyway, back to the card!

I made this card using the following:
Hunkydory Fancy Card Blank
Papermania Portobello Road Papers, Ribbon and Bows
Spellbinder Tea Cup & Postage Stamp Die
Bit of Bakers Twine in Air Mail

Then to finish off I used the Paddingtons Day Out Digikit to print a matching sentiment.

I love a bit of British and this year it is everywhere - loving it.

Thank you for having a little look!

Dawn Picked Me!

I just have to say how much I am loving the new Dawn Bibby papercraft set that I received yesterday.  The Dawn Bibby Flower Patch Collection to give it its proper name is lushous.  It also comes in a gorgrous pink folder - the only tidy bit in my craft room.

All of colours are really lovely and muted - can't wait to get crafting with it!

I did email the show last week - love doing that - didn't get my email read out but I did get picked out of the cup of chance! Yipeeeee!

She struggled a little with my name but I don't mind.  Here is the picture of the lovely lady herself when she picked me!

The arrived really quickly and is lovely, I am sure you will agree!

I do like be read out - it makes me feel part of the show.  You have to be in it to win it.

Thanks for popping along and have a little look.

A New Year, A Blog Resolution!

One of my New Year resolutions is to post at least once a week on my blog.  That will be major improvement on last year as I managed one post!!!!

I thought I would share my first card of 2012.  I made this last weekend for my Nanna as a thank you card for my lovely Christmas present.   I took inspiration from the marvellous Sue Wilson and a card she made with the Fanciful Flight Spellbinders die.  I have fallen in love with Graphic 45 papers so will be recreating this design again no doubt.

I used an 8 x 8" Kraft card blank by Papermania and then matted and layered with Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutant papers along with some Tim Holtz paper and the teal colour mat is Coredinations paper.  A few stick on pearls finished off the dimensional butterflies a treat.

I also matted and layered the inside and stamped with Thank You Nan stamp.

I was really pleased with this card and so was my Nanna!
