Love Is In The Air!

I thought I would share the Valentine Card I made for lovely Hubby.  I was really pleased with this card and had been looking forward to using my Lost & Found Papers that I got as a total bargain £6 from QVC at Christmas.

I started off with an 8 x 8 Kraft card blank from Papermaina.  I layered the papers and also cut some fab label shapes from the papers with my Spellbinder dies on my Vagabond machine.  I also used the Tim Holtz rosette die to cut a lovely rosette for the front.

I was pleased with the result and Hubbs was delighted.

As I was in a loving mood I also made a little card for my friend Helen using my Forever Friends Black & Gold Card Kit.  I bought this in a spurr of the moment thing when it was on sale on Create & Craft.  I thought it would come in useful and it has!

I used a patterned card blank from the kit and die cut two label shapes from the co-ordinating papers.  The little bear and frame are decoupaged with the ever fab Pinflair.  I finished off with two co-ordinating bows that I had in my (ever growing) stash.

When I was writing the card I noticed that the white mat with the gold hearts is actually upside down! Ooops.

Helen was very happy especially as the card will match her interior decor!

Not to be out done Hubby has got in on the card making action and made this little beauty for me.
He does like to sneak into the craft room when I am out and make me a little something.  He also used the Forever Friends Black & Gold Kit.  Probably because it was still tipped out on my desk!

I love this sooooo much and of course love him too.

Thanks for having a little look!

I Have Been on The Telly!

Oh my goodness, what was I thinking ?  Yesterday afternoon I was having a lovely time cutting out the glorious pages from my new Jewel Britannia Kit from My Craft Studio and noticed on the planner that the kit was going to be on at 6PM.  I was so pleased with the quality of the paper stash books that I decided to leave a 5 star review and send an email at 6PM to let Nancy know how great I thought it was.

Anyway 6PM arrived and I was just preparing dinner (Turkey Thai Burgers) and had sent lovely Hubby to the local shop for some dip that we had forgotten, I then got an email back from Create and Craft!  What on Earth ????

The Gallery (get me) emailed me to ask if I wanted to be a live telephone caller.....and I said yes!  By the time Hubby got home I was on the telly chatting to Nancy and Nigel.  I really loved it but the only downside was how quite they were.  It was really hard to hear what they were saying and to form a relatively intelligent response.  Anyway apologies to anyone to thought I was a nutter - I am and I love it.

The lovely people at Create and Craft have promised to send me a DVD of the show and Nigel and Nancy are sending me a card - even Leonie came on to say Hello.  I haven't watched the show back yet....to embarrassed.

This is Nigel and Nancy talking to me!!!

Will post a picture of the card from Nancy when I received it.

A Late Night Birthday Card!

Early this week my lovely friend Helen asked me for a card for her Dads birthday...on Friday.  Well I am not one for being rush and I do like to pootle in my craft room.

Anyway I had an idea to use my stash of Kanban McKenzie card and embellishments that I treated myself to just before Christmas.  I thought black and cream would be rather nice.  Anyway got a bit carried away.

I wanted to use a bit of acetate on the front to get some movement and thought it would look rather effective.

I used a black card blank that is actually a Kanban one from QVC that I bought ages ago. Everything else is from the Kanban McKenzie Kit from the fab Create & Craft.  Even the little black rose is made from a die cut in the kit and you also get the little qulling tool.

The sentiment is another QVC blast from the past is from a huge set of Kanban sentiments I bought a while ago.  I even added "65 Today" using Tim Holtz Random Letters.   Got to have a bit of Tim in everything!

Helen was delighted with the card and more importantly so was her Dad.
